Weekend Update

Another lovely weekend has come and gone. Joe unfortunately had to work 12+ hour days for turnaround so I don't think he would considered it a "lovely weekend" but I made a solo trip back home for a few awesome reasons. On Saturday afternoon I went to Sadie's soccer game then I left early to get ready for my high school friend Katie's wedding. I did bring my camera but never pulled it out to take a picture. bad Sarah! Sorry. It was a very nice wedding and she looked beautiful.

I was also able to hit two birds with one stone on Saturday because the reception was held at the same event center as my aunt Diane's retirement party. I stopped by between the ceremony and social hour and visited with the family. I finally got to meet my cousin Justin and his wife Christina's little girl, Autumn. She is adorable and very active. All she did was kick her legs when I held her. :) So cute.

Sunday was beautiful outside so I took full advantage of enjoying every moment of it. My Mom and I went for a walk, Sadie and I went around town taking pictures, we sat outside and visited with my grandparents who cut their road trip early due to car problems, (my parents were watching their dog, Molly, so they came to pick her back up) and instead of hitting the road early and finding myself in road construction traffic I stayed for dinner. Best. Decision. Ever. We grilled steak kabobs and veggies, had fresh potatoes from the garden and had the most delicious dessert. Grilled peaches with a butter and brown sugar glaze and vanilla bean ice cream. Seriously, try it. It's soooo good!

And now we're back to the work week. I'm already look forward to the weekend. This could be a long week.
